GraphicByte (“we”) is the controller for shop data on graphicbyte.co.uk. We are a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Contact support@graphicbyte.co.uk. Correspondence: England, United Kingdom. Email support@graphicbyte.co.uk for the current correspondence address.

What we collect

  • Account name, email and password hash if you register (or identifiers from Discord/Google sign-in)
  • Order details, delivery files, custom-order briefs and attachments
  • Payment status from Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
  • Support and contact-form messages
  • Newsletter email if you subscribe
  • IP address and basic device data in server logs, rate-limiting and licence checks
  • Licence keys, install/site identifiers and check timestamps if you use licensed software
  • Approximate analytics (page views) via Vercel Web Analytics

Why we use it

To fulfil orders, run your account, send files and keys, quote custom work, enforce licences, prevent fraud and abuse, and (if you opt in) email the BYTE15 list. Legal bases: contract, legitimate interests in running a shop and securing licences, legal obligation (tax/records), and consent for marketing email.

Who we share with

Stripe for payments; hosting, database and file storage to run the site; email delivery for receipts, resets and support; and (if you use software with a licence server) our licence infrastructure. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Account, order and licence records are kept while the account is open and as long as tax and consumer law require. Server logs are kept for a short operational period. You can ask us to close an account and delete data we are not required to keep.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, corrections, deletion, restriction, or to object to certain processing, and to withdraw marketing consent. Email support@graphicbyte.co.uk. You can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
